Roulette Etiquette

Ready to play Roulette

When hosting a Casino Party, table games provide some of the most popular moments of the evening in terms of fun. Table games can be exciting, and one of the biggest “payoffs” can be roulette. As with any table game at a Casino Party, table etiquette plays a major part in what makes the game enjoyable.

Casino etiquette involves a number of “unwritten” rules, with the basic concept being that one should be aware of their surroundings and those around them. In terms of roulette, this can be summed up in just a few short tips:

Roulette Etiquette

  • While roulette is meant to be an exciting game, and is extremely popular at Casino Parties, it is easy to get caught up in, and carried away with, the excitement. Expressing that excitement in such a way that it detracts from others’ enjoyment of the game, is not considered acceptable.
  • Roulette chips are unique unto the player – which means each person gets their own set of chips, so that the croupiers know who placed which bet. This is the very reason why you should not, ever, mix your chips with another player. Your bets are your own bets, and should be made accordingly.
  • Lastly, it is important to pay attention to the croupier when playing. If you are deep in conversation, you may miss your chance to bet. The croupier will announce when it is time to make bets, as well as call out when bets can no longer be placed. Once that is the case, players cannot insist on placing any bets.

Many people enjoy booking their vacations around a Casino Trip or celebrating a special occasion with a Casino Night. However, many people can’t afford to jaunt to Vegas just to try their hand at the roulette table! It is for this reason that Casino Night parties have become all the rage in recent years.
